The Document Controller will work closely with Falcon’s internal creative and technical teams as well as outside vendors and clients. This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing deliverables of diverse projects of varying scales with regards to design, development, fabrication, and installation, of various projects. These projects are typically theme parks and special themed attractions that combine the services of specialty designers and fabricators, scenic, lighting, AV, and ride vendors to produce a show or an attraction or a series of attractions for our clients. Major job functions include overseeing the creation, review, distribution, and archiving of all project deliverables, including drawing packages, 3D files, PowerPoint presentations, and concept art, attending meetings with all project stakeholders, maintaining version control procedures, checking documents for compliance against internal and client standards, and acting as the point of contact for all incoming documents from client and other stakeholders. Document Controllers will report to the Vice President of Project Management.
Essential Functions
- Act as point of contact for all document-related communication between client, external project stakeholders, sub-vendors, and internal company team members.
- Reliably uploading and downloading project files to/from project folder structure and communicating location to relevant team members
- Collaboration with internal team members and sub vendors to ensure all contractual deliverables are satisfied and quality standards are met.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to create more efficient document control processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
- Will not require Falcon’s Beyond Global, LLC to commence (“sponsor”) an immigration case in order to be employed (now or in the future).
Job Qualifications And Requirements
- 1-3 years of document control, project management, or related experience is preferred
- Experience or familiarity with themed entertainment projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex, or PM Web
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite. Experience with Microsoft Power Tools is a plus.
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in project scope & schedule, and the ability to confidently handle disagreements or conflicts related to project scheduling.
- Requires a sound understanding of analytical problem solving.
- Strong technical oral and written communication skills for a wide audience.
- Preferred familiarity of construction methods and industry and ability to read architectural and construction drawings.
- Associate and/or Bachelor's degree in relevant field from an accredited program is preferable.
- Travel may be required.
- Ability & willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with short notice.
