Brand Apparel Designer
Location: Hybrid in Beaverton, OR
Duration: 6 months
Pay: up to $49.00/hour, DOE
Planet Interactive is looking for a
Brand Apparel Designer to join our well known retail brand on a 6 month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid in Beaverton, OR.
This role requires a high level of passion and creativity, along with the versatility and focus to contribute to graphic direction and strategy through the product creation process. Responsibilities
- Concept and build out narratives that will inspire and influence apparel designs while incorporating/honoring the external partner’s brand identities.
- Collaborate with design, development and business partners to ensure all details are recorded and delivered as presented.
- Handle everything from trims to print applications and cost considerations
- Lead team meetings and cascade critical information to ensure the project hits all deadlines.
- Present design concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external audiences.
- Drive graphic strategy and vision while working with multiple teams of designers, developers, and product managers to deliver creative in line with the Brand Ethos.
- Use strong collaborative skills to meet deadlines, ensure feasibility of designs, hit price points, while talking partners through the thinking behind work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, 5 years or more of graphic design experience in agency or in-house setting, or closely related role in product creation
- Digital design acumen in Adobe CC and comfortable working within Digital tools/3D (CLO 3D)
- Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture
- Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling
- Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities
- High visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences
- Ability to design craft, innovation, graphic applications, prints, processes and tools.
- Ability to embrace diverse points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity.
