Reports To: Design Director / VP of the Company
Position Overview:
Hallmart Collectibles, Inc. is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Designer to join our team. This role focuses on design creation and development for projects with major national retailers and department stores. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, a keen eye for trends, and expertise in design software to create innovative and market-ready concepts.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize and create original designs tailored to the needs of national retailers and department stores.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical packages to ensure seamless communication with production teams.
• Research market trends and integrate innovative ideas into design projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to develop and present product concepts.
• Manage sample processes, including ordering, organizing, and tracking samples.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date design libraries, including color palettes, fabrics, and patterns.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop new product lines and enhance existing collections.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a design-focused role, ideally in textiles, home decor, or a related industry.
• Proficiency in design software, including:
• Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Strong understanding of fabric design, color theory, and pattern creation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• A digital portfolio showcasing relevant design work is required.
