Job Overview:
As our Textile Designer, you will be responsible for creating original designs and translating inspiration into unique and beautiful textile products. You will work with a team of designers and product developers to ensure that all designs meet our standards for quality and aesthetics. You will also be responsible for managing deadlines and ensuring that all designs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality textile designs that meet the company's standards for innovation and style, using extensive experience and talent in working with printed textiles.
- Index artwork, create repeats, and color separate designs to ensure they are factory-ready, utilizing complete knowledge of these techniques.
- Utilize Photoshop (Illustrator a plus) to create tech packages.
- Collaborate with product developers and designers to ensure all designs meet quality and aesthetic standards.
- Work with jacquards and woven textiles to develop unique and complex designs.
- Maintain organized computer files and vendor information to ensure efficient completion of projects.
- Ensure all designs are completed in a timely and efficient manner, paying serious attention to deadlines.
- Develop original designs and create designs based on inspiration, utilizing painting and drawing skills when necessary.
- Demonstrate good color sense to create appealing colorways.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in the textile design industry.
