Responsibilities: “What would you say you do here?”
• Create CG models within the Art Department under the direction of the Production Designer and filmmakers.
• Demonstrate an understanding of design fundamentals/principles.
• Create technically clean models for production, which are light weight and used as either artistic reference for production modelers or direct use in layout.
• Demonstrate versatility in their ability to create a wide range of models, from hard-surfaced to organic shapes.
• Working in a fast iterative environment.
• Demonstrate understanding of basic Unix commands/navigation, and be adaptable to new software and techniques.
• Create models that align with artistic design/style of film; design and also interpret art reference/art direction.
• Troubleshoot technical and creative problems, and work independently with minimal direction.
• Demonstrate critical thinking in various modeling approaches and apply tools effectively and creatively to models.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of common design components that make aesthetically pleasing models, i.e. balance, composition, shape/form, rhythm, etc.
• Good people skills, and the ability to collaborate with both supervisors and peers.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
“What do I need to have in order to do this job?”
• Strong knowledge in 3D modeling software, such as Maya, ZBrush, Houdini, etc.
• Experience in modeling characters and environments.
• Understands technical requirements of models for pipeline use.
• Must be able to provide a reel/portfolio of work examples -- if available, include a web address when you submit your resume (if applicable)

• 2 years of industry related experience.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
Salary Range: $86,300 - $125,000
