The Studio Sourcing & Strategy team is seeking a creative, passionate, and production-savvy individual to lead and contribute to sourcing initiatives that support Studio Production. This role helps ensure we are getting best-in-class quality, reliability, security, and value from our vendors and partners. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with the teams who produce motion pictures released under the Disney Live Action, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight banners.
In this role, you will be expected to provide key insights on Studio Production vendors and categories, develop long-term vendor strategies, negotiate agreements, and drive synergies across common Studio vendors and workflows. In addition to Studio Production, you will also have the opportunity to support exciting initiatives across Studio Operations and Studio Marketing. This position reports to the Manager, Strategic Sourcing.
Responsibilities
• Support sourcing projects through the following:
• Vendor, category, and industry research
• Current and projected spend analysis
• Workflow and process analysis
• Bid and proposed term analysis
• Negotiation strategy and execution
• Contract development, negotiation, execution, and maintenance
• Project management of sourcing-related activities
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to facilitate on-going and potential initiatives
• Build and maintain relationships at vendor partners to ensure mutual understanding of strategies and organizational priorities; ensure value of agreements is realized by both parties
• Maintain a high-level of understanding of on-going trends across the marketplace to provide insights about vendor expectations and competition for vendor resources
• Support additional projects across Studio Sourcing, including Studio Operations and Studio Marketing
Qualifications
• 3 years of experience in entertainment production, strategic sourcing, and/or project management disciplines; entertainment industry experience preferred
• Proven experience in fact-based negotiations and contract analysis. Should be able to:
• Analyze deal terms and understand operational and financial implications of executing the terms of the arrangement
• Develop negotiation plan to achieve desired business outcome
• Work collaboratively with legal, finance, and business stakeholders throughout negotiation process
• Document final agreement with a package of a signed contract and communication plan to stakeholders
• Excellent project management skills, capable of leading and managing an array of initiatives from project initiation through completion
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts and executives
• Self-motivated with strong prioritization and multitasking skills
• Experience in influencing without direct authority
• Highly professional and customer-service oriented
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

• Bachelor's Degree

The hiring range for this position in California is $103,400.00 - $126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
