Activision Blizzard is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Emergency Preparedness and Resilience. The Senior Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of plans to mitigate the effects of business interruptions, enhance global preparedness, and improve organizational resilience. This role will partner with various stakeholders and lines of business to develop an emergency preparedness and business continuity framework. This position will play an integral part in managing emergency response across international operations, enabling the safety and security of employees and assets worldwide.
Responsibilities
• Emergency Preparedness & Resilience: Lead the delivery of emergency preparedness and resilience programs with stakeholders and business unit leaders. Develop and assist in creating robust continuity plans for critical business functions and essential systems to enable recovery in case of business disruption.
• Crisis Response Coordination: Act as a coordinator for global crisis events, working with stakeholders to deploy resources swiftly to address international incidents and mitigate risks. Serve as a key advisor during crisis situations, providing strategic direction for employee safety and organizational stability.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal stakeholders, including IT, Legal, Finance, HR, Comms, and other operational teams, to create, update, and implement continuity plans. Build strong cross-functional relationships to encourage buy-in and alignment across the organization.
• Training, Simulations & Testing: Lead global emergency simulations and training exercises, ensuring employees and key stakeholders are prepared for potential disruptions. Conduct regular tests to evaluate the effectiveness of business continuity and emergency response plans and confirm that stakeholders are well-equipped to execute them.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Monitor and track progress of emergency response and business continuity plans, writing reports on testing results, recommended actions, and areas for improvement.
Player Profile
• Must have at least 7 years' experience in emergency preparedness, resilience, or disaster planning.
• BA or BS desired. Degrees in fields such as emergency management, emergency services administration, homeland security, or similar fields desired.
• Certification from IAEM, DRI, BCI, or equivalent preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of emergency preparedness strategies and disaster recovery.
• Proven experience in managing global crisis situations, including working with international teams and stakeholders to implement comprehensive crisis response strategies.
• Must have effective management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual and stressful circumstances
• Strong customer service and service delivery
• Position requires demonstrated integrity, honesty, poise, tact, and diplomacy
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to plan, coordinate and manage staff and operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

In the US, the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all US locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
