Chief of Staff, Legal & Public Policy
San Mateo, CA (hybrid) - will require coming into our office 2 times per week

Responsibilities:
• Help to drive the SVP's vision and strategy, and ensure it is carried out.
• Lead or partner on special projects driven by the SVP across all areas of the company.
• Manage, plan, and facilitate senior leadership meetings and offsites, formulating the topics to cover, building and advising agendas, guiding the discussion, bringing together notes and action items, and following up as appropriate.
• Responsible for key operational rhythms, calendars, and processes, creating a comprehensive view of the operational mechanics of the organization.
• Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies across the business and provide solutions/recommendations.
• Research ideas generated in conversations with the SVP and crystallize them into presentations for senior leadership.
• Help distill strategic discussions into executable plans enabling rigorous discussions while providing the connection points between strategic ideas.
• Oversee key communications and reporting across all levels of the organization to drive impactful internal and external messaging and content.
• Support the SVP in organizing inspiring and informative All Hands meetings to share important business information and boost team morale.
• Build relationships across the organization to help move ideas forward and fully understand the health of the business and our people.
• Work closely with the SVP to prioritize, focus and prepare for internal and external meetings.
• Provide a sounding board to the SVP on matters of strategy, execution, operations, and structure.
• Anticipate the needs of the SVP and organization, enabling the leadership team to operate more effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to enhance the operational effectiveness of the department and its leadership, driving meaningful impact. Must demonstrate strong influencing skills to align stakeholders, shape strategic decisions, and foster collaboration across teams.
• High EQ with significant experience and comfort forging strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
• You thrive in ambiguity and dynamic environments performing at your best when new information, projects, and decisions come at you fast. Working with velocity and flexibility is your preferred approach.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Communications, or similar settings.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in dynamic, fast-paced industries such as high-tech, entertainment, or business environments. Background in Technical Program Management, Product Management, Management Consulting, Business Operations, Strategic Planning, or a related function, with a proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
• Team first professional with a passion for fostering a culture of efficiency and high performance while driving results, strategic outcomes, and operational accountability and improvements.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to implement autonomously and lead multiple high-profile initiatives of varying timelines simultaneously with minimal oversight or direction.
• Strong storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives and presentations in support of our business strategies.
• Ability to manage a high degree of complexity and to distill information into simple messages.
• Strategic and Creative thinker comfortable debating and defending your ideas.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, and critical thinking skills with the ability to judge situations accurately and quickly, grasping complexities, identifying key issues, and applying sound judgment. You balance the demands of short-term execution with long-term value creation and understand the broader goals of the business and make decisions accordingly.
• International business experience is a plus.
• J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school and member of a US state bar, also a plus!

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
