Job Description:
Boba Quest is looking for a creative individual to join our team as a 3D Character Artist to create stylized animals, humans, creatures and help our team bring our vision to life. You have an artistic eye, are a team player, and an independent problem solver.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality stylized character models & textures that align with concept material
- Interpret & translate 2D concept art into compelling 3D stylized characters with a good eye for composition, texture, color & lighting
- Communicate with directors and team members about ongoing projects, deadlines, and progress reports
- Discuss and receive feedback from directors and team members and apply feedback to models
- Ensuring consistency of UV mapping and polygonal subdivisions & optimize models for game development
- Adhere to guidelines for presenting, submitting progress and final artwork, and managing files
Requirements:
- Experience modeling, UV mapping, & texturing detailed 3D characters based off 2D concept art
- A strong portfolio showing completed previous projects
- Strong communication skills with team members to execute vision and ability to receive and apply feedback
- Well-versed in industry-standard programs such as maya, blender, & substance painter
- Excellent time-management skills and can work efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Strong problem solving skills with creative & technical skills, and attention to detail
