About The Role
An independent filmmaker and book author is seeking a talented music composer to create a dynamic and dramatic orchestral score for an upcoming action film project titled "Dinosaur King: The On-Stage Movie." This long-term project, inspired by the popular anime series and SEGA video game, requires a composer with experience in dramatic action and comedic music elements. The role involves composing both the main theme and the entire film score. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile project with an extraordinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Compose a dynamic and dramatic orchestral score for the film, including the main theme and background music
- Collaborate closely with the filmmaker to understand the vision and specific musical requirements for each scene
- Incorporate feedback and make necessary adjustments to ensure the score aligns with the film's tone and narrative
- Integrate both action and comedic elements into the score to enhance the film's dramatic moments and lighter scenes
- Deliver high-quality music compositions within the specified timelines
- Communicate effectively with the filmmaker and other team members throughout the production process
Requirements
- Proven experience in composing music for action films or similar genres, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work
- Proficiency in creating orchestral scores that are both dramatic and engaging
