We are excited to be looking for a Animator to join our growing team as we continue to build and raise the bar in interactive animation on our current and future projects.
As a key member of the animation team, you will bring characters to life using keyframe and motion capture to create high quality animation, using a strong foundation in the principles of animation. You will collaborate with artists, designers and other animators to develop new features and craft exciting gameplay mechanics from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the animation team to create high quality animation content within the requirements of the project
- Ensure work is specified appropriately.
- Being autonomous and engaging with peers to create fun playable gameplay systems.
- Actively participate in animation system design and problem resolution / Takes ownership of the systems assigned and sees them through to completion
- Collaborate across the animation, art, design and programming teams to find solutions to animation related issues
- Create bespoke animation to work within gameplay requirements and problem solve animation issues.
- Continually learn new software, technology and techniques
- Good eye and understanding of animation fundamentals is key
- Good communication and teamwork skills and a friendly attitude
- Highly motivated to push the quality bar of animation with an open mind
- Skilled in (one or more of) Maya, 3DS Max or Motionbuilder
- Ability to accept feedback, interpret direction and constructive criticism.
- Be comfortable working within a predefined animation style.
- Familiarity with gameplay animation pipelines.
- Self motivation and attitude.

Important:
The interview process for the Animator role is made up of 2 stages:
- First interview (45 – 60 minutes) – An interview to discuss your experience and working history relating to the position with members of our Animation team. In return, we will provide a full overview of the role, life at the studio as well as answer any questions you may have.
- Final interview (30 minutes) – A final Interview with our Studio Head and Studio Production Director. This will be a chance for you to get to know the Senior Management team and all the things that make Lucid, Lucid! You will have a lot of opportunities to ask any questions about the studio and Culture.
