The Art & Science Group seeks applications and nominations of outstanding candidates to join the firm as a Managing Associate. Managing associates at Art & Science Group engage with dynamic higher education leaders and campus communities to help their institutions innovate and thrive during one of the most challenging times in American higher education. The managing associate plays a critical role in informing strategic decisions that will shape the nature of the student academic, co-curricular, and social experience as well as how the institution engages with current students, alumni, and other key constituencies.
Art & Science Group is a specialized strategy consulting firm focused on assisting colleges, universities, independent schools, and adjacent organizations. Partnering with an institution’s leadership and community, we employ powerful, highly customized research with its key constituencies to inform decision-making on the big strategic questions it is facing, from strategic planning to competitive positioning to pricing.
The ideal candidate will have experience in higher education or related field (ideally including some exposure to institutional strategy); a passion for problem-solving; facility interpreting data and thinking critically; exceptional written and oral communication skills; and strong organizational and time management abilities.
Essential responsibilities will include but not be limited to
- Work closely with the firm’s principals and senior vice president, consult on education-sector client projects that focus on developing market-informed strategy covering a range of institutional challenges including strategic planning, positioning, student recruitment, retention, advancement, and communications.
- Develop and write compelling proposals, including helping to frame client challenge and research approach, developing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of a proposal that addresses needs of the prospective client.
