Rockstar is looking for a Casting Assistant to support the Casting and Performance Capture Teams. This role will focus on organizing requests, communicating with talent/agents, and provide administrative and organizational support to the SVP of Performance Production. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with strong interpersonal skills.
This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.
What We Do
- The Rockstar Games Performance Capture Team produces all captured content for cutscene, in-game and gameplay animation assets.
- We support on-set directors to help maintain the nuance and continuity of the game’s world.
- We ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the department.
- As a part of the Performance Capture Team the Rockstar Games’ casting team casts all types of work (Performance Capture, VO, Stunts, etc.) globally.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, distribute, and collect contracts from talent with an eye for accuracy.
- Organize casting spreadsheets and production details including avails and paperwork.
- Reach out to agents for actor availability and audition appointments.
- Assist booking talent with accurate information and work through booking issues.
- Receive and organize auditions accurately, acquiring any missing files as needed.
- Support the Production team as a production coordinator backup when needed.
- Manage credits lists.
- Write mock sides for auditions and complete them under tight deadlines.
- Work seamlessly with accounting team to ensure timely talent payment.
- Serve as casting liaison on-set when specialty talent is present.
- Provide administrative support to the SVP of Performance Production by assisting in day-to-day functions with emphasis on calendar management, travel coordination, and expense processing.
- Manage meetings including scheduling rooms, securing and preparing audio/video, securing meeting materials or digital files, and storing documents for future reference.
- Book couriers and international deliveries.
- Provide cover for areas of responsibility and special projects for the Production team as required while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of casting assistant experience in commercials, video games, TV, theater, or film.
- 1+ year experience in an Administrative or Executive Assistant role at an entertainment company.
- First-hand knowledge of the casting process and an understanding of daily tasks.
- Experience with project management software such as Monday.com.
- Proficient in MS Office 360 Applications.
- Experience on-set in any capacity.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work with various personalities.
- Resourcefulness and flexibility, ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Natural multi-tasker who can effectively manage time and prioritize tasks as set by their lead.
- Excels in writing various kinds of genres and enjoys creating a story.
- Strong drive for excellence and takes pride in ownership of tasked responsibilities and detail-oriented work.
- Organized and able to keep company records up to date with accuracy.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
