Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented
CAD Designer to join our team, specializing in creating technical designs and system layouts for audio-visual (AV) projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with AV engineers, project managers, and installation teams to design and document AV systems for corporate, educational, and entertainment environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using CAD software (VectorWorks)
- Modify existing designs based on project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs meet technical and functional needs.
- Prepare layout and detail drawings for various projects including structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Review and correct designs for accuracy, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions.
- Provide support for the design process from concept through completion, assisting with prototypes, mock-ups, and testing as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve design issues and changes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in CAD Design, Drafting, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred but not required)
- 2+ years of experience as a CAD Designer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (VectorWorks)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
