Interactive Entertainment Group (IEG) is responsible for the R&D, operation, and development of the company's interactive entertainment business including games and eSports. Through online gaming, live broadcasts, and offline eSports, IEG assists the company in leading the global interactive entertainment market to create better interactive entertainment content experiences for users. 1. Work closely with writers, designers, animators, and other key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive narrative experience. 2. Develop and execute the overall cinematic vision for in-game scenes, ensuring they align with the game's story, and effectively convey the emotions, and tone of the game. 3. Oversee the development of storyboards, animatics, and pre-visualization to plan out cinematic sequences. 4. Design and implement camera work, including shot composition, camera movement, and transitions to achieve desired cinematic effects that enhance the storytelling and gameplay experience. 5. Direct character placement, movement, and interaction within scenes to ensure that each moment is visually impactful and narratively coherent. 6. Ensure that all cinematic content meets the highest standards of quality and visual aesthetics that is consistent with the overall artistic direction of the game. 7. Participate in feedback loops, refine cinematic sequences based on feedback, and collaborate with the team to make adjustments as necessary. 8. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques in cinematic storytelling and incorporate them into your work. Requirements: 1. 5+ years of experience as a Cinematic Lead, Cinematic Artist, Narrative Animator, or a similar role in the game industry. Successfully shipped AAA games. 2. A strong portfolio showcasing your work on cinematic sequences in video games or related media. 3. Familiar cinematic tools such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, or equivalent software. 4. A deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition in a cinematic context. 5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment and adapt to changing project needs. Location State(s) California The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $141,600 to $238,800 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
