We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cinematic Animator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of animators, creating and managing cinematic content, and ensuring the quality and consistency of animation work. You will also be involved in tasking and scoping animation work on cinematic content to ensure it meets the creative vision and production deadlines.
Responsibilities:
In the role of Lead Cinematic Animator, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of animators, providing mentorship, regular feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment to inspire high-quality cinematic animations. You will oversee the creation of in house and outsourcing cinematic content, ensuring it aligns with the project's artistic vision and narrative goals, while working closely with directors, producers, and other stakeholders to maintain a cohesive animation style. Along with creating some cinematic animation content, tasking and scoping animation work will be a key responsibility, requiring you to plan and allocate resources effectively, collaborate with project managers, and proactively address potential bottlenecks to ensure milestones are met. Additionally, you will review some of the animation work ensuring that the team is maintaining best practices and workflows. Staying updated with the latest animation tools, technologies, and industry trends, you will also provide technical solutions and support to the animation team as needed.

Qualifications:
- You have 10+ years of experience as a cinematic animator for in-game content.
- Proven experience as a Lead Animator or similar role in the gaming or entertainment industry.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- You have worked on at least one AAA game where you were intimately involved in creating narrative content such as cinematics or scripted events.
- Expert in animation software such as Maya, Motion Builder, or similar tools.
- Expert at performance capture polish and keyframe proficiency.
- Excellent understanding of character animation, timing, and storytelling.
- Having a good eye for camera language and framing is appreciated.
- You have a broad understanding of technical workflows.
- You show great collaboration and have experience in reaching out to the broader team for content alignment.
- You put passion into everything you do and aim to improve our workflows and tools.
