As a Senior Environment Artist, you will bring the world of Palia to life by architecting new zones and play spaces that will surprise and delight our players, taking them from early ideation phases to maintaining them post release.
What we are looking for:
- Environment Art Experience: 4+ years of experience as a professional environment artist, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates your expertise with stylized art, as well as strong 2D and 3D design fundamentals.
- A Game Artist: Able to effectively balance 3D aesthetic with in-game performance and optimization needs. Proactively identify new tools and technologies to create solutions to improve workflow efficiency. Experience with PBR material pipelines and lighting
- Worldbuilding: Bring worlds to life with a keen eye for balancing aesthetics, narrative, and the gameplay purposes of locations you build
- Self-Motivated: Able to plan own work effectively as needed and in a timely manner to hit development deadlines.
- Cross-Disciplinary Expertise: An effective collaborator with other disciplines such as design, engineering, and production to create amazing player experiences.
- Player Focused: Consistently pursue a better understanding of our player’s needs to better optimize and inform your decisions.
Nice to Have:
- Unreal Engine Experience: Professional experience in Unreal 4/5
- Passion for Simulation Games: A genuine interest in simulation games
- Diverse Art Expertise: Able to contribute in other adjacent art areas as part of a small team such as shaders, character modeling, and environmental tech art
Salary Information
The Los Angeles base salary range for this full-time position is $120,850 - $150,850 annually for a Senior Environment Artist. Base salary will be determined by role, level, and location. The range listed for each job is the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the positions across S6-approved states. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors. Please discuss your specific salary expectations for your preferred location during our interview process.
Compensation details reflect only the base salary, and do not include bonus, or benefits such as 401k matching.

- Choice of Remote (in approved states) or Hybrid office options in Los Angeles, CA or Orange County, CA unless noted above
- Aligned to core Pacific Coast hours (10:00am - 4:00pm PT)
