We are now looking for a Art Manager
The Art Manager will be responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly in their art team.
They manage artists from different disciplines and experience levels, helping them grow their skills while also aligning their work with the studio's goals. They understand both the needs of our players and the overall project requirements and use this knowledge to guide individual development plans.
The Art Manager is great at building relationships, giving clear feedback, and nurturing talent. They are comfortable with tough conversations when needed and fosters a safe, collaborative work environment.
They are in charge of the growth and performance of their team members, handle hiring for relevant roles, and conduct development talks, salary discussions, and regular performance reviews to ensure the team continues to improve.
You will not work directly with creating game art but rather lead, coach, and influence the professions, as well as making sure the rest of the company uses their skills in the best way possible.
Who you are:
We believe that you
- Have proven leadership experience with a track record of leading successful creative teams in the gaming industry
- Are passionate about leading teams, managing people and creating healthy work environments
- Have excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
- Have interest and familiarity with Arrowhead games
- Previous experience as a Lead, Art Manager or Art Director in the game industry is not a requirement but will be considered as a strong advantage
What you'll do
- Recruitment & Onboarding of new artists
- Ongoing development of direct reports by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and following up on objectives
- Evaluate performance, course-correct where necessary and ensure staff continually grow and improve
- Development talks, promotions, salary setting and salary talks
- Enable and ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Work towards ensuring Arrowhead utilizes its artists in the best possible way and that the team has the proper support

Practical Information
Scope: Full-time: 40 hours per week with initial 6 month probation period.
Location: Office first, hybrid solution possible. You need to be eligble to work in Sweden.
We are a pet friendly office! You can expect to find dogs and occasionally some cats around.
