We are looking for an experienced Video Games Marketing artist and Graphic Designer to join our Graphics team.
Our ideal candidate would have at least 5 years' experience as a hand-on creative graphic design and digital art.
We require you to commute twice a week to our London Soho office.
The role is focussed on the production of exceptionally high-quality graphics and imagery for Playstack's games - particularly the development of their visual identity, their campaigns and events.
In this role:
- You will create initial design concepts and develop them through to final.
- You'll be very comfortable dealing with multiple project priorities and creative challenges.
- You will create Logos and Key imagery in support of successful game launches.
- You'll be creating eye catching visual solutions. Your work needs to perform in a range of different formats and will be used across multiple marketing platforms, in online stores, in advertising and social media channels - as well as in the games themselves.
Who you are:
- As a digital designer and illustrator - you'll be hungry to get involved in the creation of:
Key art, Website design, Editorial layout Design, Logo Design, Brand guidelines, Storyboards, Font design.
- A commercial understanding is a core element: you'll chase down details and info and you will be comfortable estimating the amount of time a project will take.
- You'll have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. You'll be very comfortable explaining your ideas and concepts in front of a team of PMs and Marketing managers.
- You take feedback and art criticism in your stride and work to fulfil the project goals on time and on visual target.
- Our games have their own tone of voice - your experience in the Video Games industry will have taught you how important getting that thematic tone correct using type, layout, graphic treatment. You'll have a passion for connecting these elements together visually - consistency and quality at the heart of your drive on each project.
- Your portfolio would show your attention to detail, typographic expertise, sketching/digital art and image manipulation skills - Please do include a Folio link or PDF in your application
Technical experience:
- You'll have excellent experience using the Photoshop and the entire Adobe Creative Suite.
- Your work will certainly be seen on screen - a solid understanding of RGB screen formats, resolutions and best practices when it comes to making your artwork sharp as possible.
- You will also work with printed materials - experience of working with CMYK file setup for print would be a bonus.
- 3D skills. Not only the manipulation, lighting and rendering of supplied 3D files but also the expertise of creating 3D content and export to Blender would be extremely helpful.
