Job Summary: The Production Manager will be an integral member of the Original Animation team responsible for overseeing schedules, budgets, and process flow for all Original Animation projects. The Manager of Production will work directly with the Director of Original Animation and other key stakeholders. They will also work directly with external people and teams engaged on Original Animation projects.
FLSA Classification (US Only): Exempt
- Administer and maintain day to day workflows of Original Animation productions ensuring clear communication & effective schedules and budgets
- Work directly with external partners on production reporting & tracking as well as asset delivery.
- Manage tracking for creative and brand review process
- Build and maintain project budgets and schedules as necessary
- Proactively assessing processes to help ensure smooth future workflows
- Work with internal stakeholders by handling production needs of development projects
- Contribute to content development and production through research, building of pitch decks, talent sourcing, budget & schedule planning
- Build and maintain relationships with production teams at animation studios and post-production facilities
- Drives contract process inclusive of negotiation
- Maintain knowledge of industry standard processes and emerging technologies, working with IT, internal stakeholders and external partners to advise and facilitate implementation of technologies as required to best serve projects.
- Build and maintain file management templates and systems for asset organization, internal delivery, vendor communication, review, notes & feedback tracking
- Monitor budgets and schedules, and report on status to relevant stakeholders as needed
- Manage asset needs and deliveries with internal partners such as Licensing and Marketing
- Work with localization teams to ensure on-time asset deliveries
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of related professional experience.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Passion for animation and animation production
- Experience in animation production in shortform, series and/or features
- Showside producing or studio production management experience is a requirement
- Experience across multiple mediums i.e. drawn 2D, CG 2d&3d, stop motion
- Positive and inclusive approach to communication
- Meticulous project organization and attention to detail
- Experience and knowledge of Pokémon games and brand are a plus.
- Prioritization skills necessary to maintain multiple projects at once
- Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity-driven learning style
- Seeks to better themselves and peers through one on one feedback
Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $91,000 - $108,300 per year. The full range is $91,000 - $137,000 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
