The Graphic Artist position designs and produces still graphics for Live, News Programming. The position will communicate with producers, graphic supervisors, and other design team members to fulfill a range of requests. The ideal candidate is a strong multi-tasker able to prioritize and fulfill multiple daily news requests. The position produces high-quality design under tight deadlines while maintaining strict accuracy, visual clarity and meets technical standards.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Design/produce still graphics and other design elements as assigned by Graphics Supervisors.
• Effectively evaluate and manage time, resources and deadlines to produce desired products both individually and as part of a team.
• Work with Graphics Supervisors, co-workers and show production staff to determine needs and facilitate execution of projects.
• Acquire and utilize knowledge of equipment operation, production techniques and engineering requirements.
• Proactively makes effective use of downtime, reaching out to help co-workers or learning/enhancing skills as time allows.
Your Qualifications & Experience…
• Degree from accredited art school with emphasis in graphic design, motion design or related field (illustration, photography, industrial design, visual communications) or equivalent work experience.
• Displays outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with other teams under pressure.
• Embraces working in a diverse, collaborative environment and is willing to train and assist other designers on various levels. Actively contribute to overall positive and creative atmosphere of the department.
• Excellent computer, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Expert level at Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).
