Job Description
What you will do
• Collaborate with the level team to develop the look and feel of a game.
• Find visual references based on the artistic and technical directions.
• Set up light sources to support narrative elements and gameplay progression.
• Light game environments, characters, and cinematics to direct the players' attention, set the emotional tone, communicate atmosphere, and plot details, etc.
• Balance artistic aspects with technical constraints.
• Document and share your lighting design knowledge and best practices.
• Refine your integrated lighting effects based on feedback received from interdependent teams, debugging when need be
Qualifications
What you will bring
• Familiar with 3D authoring packages and color calibration process. - RT and prerender lighting experience.
• Prefer Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Experienced as a lighting Artist in the game, film, or CG industry.
• Creative with the ability to adapt to realistic game style.
• Task driven with good time management skills, ability to work independently as well as a good team player.
• Balancing the visual quality and performance requirements of real-time gaming applications
Nice to have
• Portfolio of traditional art skills.
• Shipped games (Console or PC)
• Experienced in managing team and allocating tasks.
• Good English skills both in written and oral
