*Pay Range: $28.85 - $46.00 CAD hourly
POSITION SUMMARY:
The VFX Match Move Tracker has a crucial role in the post-production process, ensuring seamless integration of visual effects into live-action footage. The primary responsibility is to accurately track 3D objects and cameras within a scene, providing precise data for animators and compositors to create realistic and believable effects.
MAIN DUTIES:
The Tracker / Match Move will u tilize industry standard tracking software (e.g. 3D Equalizer, Maya, Nuke) to establish accurate 3D camera paths and track 3D objects within live-action footage. They will a nalyze tracked data for accuracy and consistency, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors. They will work closely with VFX supervisors, animators, and compositors to ensure that tracked data meets the creative vision and technical requirements of the project. Other duties include:
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot tracking challenges and implement creative solutions to achieve desired results.
• Efficiency: Optimize tracking workflows to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Staying Ahead: Keep up-to-date with the latest tracking software and techniques to maintain proficiency.
WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will bring a s trong understanding of 3D space, camera movement, and perspective. They will bring a p roficiency in 3D Equalizer and Maya. They will bring previous e xperience working in a VFX pipeline and collaborating with other team members. They will also bring the following:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• A passion for visual effects and a desire to contribute to high-quality productions.
• Experience with Nuke is considered an asset.
