Sphere Quality Assurance Engineer Summer 2025 Student Associate (Burbank, CA)
Who are we hiring?
The Simulation & Visualization team at MSG is looking for a Student Associate to help with software engineering tasks. The team has produced a suite of software products for use in content production at Sphere as well as other MSG properties. The team's various applications have been built for platforms including Windows, macOS, android (Oculus Quest) and iOS. The team has done a lot of VR work and some AR work.
The ideal candidate has experience or interest in 3d game engines, 3d interaction, simulation of real-world spaces and what it's like to work on a product engineering team.
STUDENT ASSOCIATE REQUIRMENTS:
• Undergraduate candidates with a class status of junior or above or graduate candidates
• GPA of 3.2 or above
• Provide a letter from your school verifying enrollment
• Available to work a minimum 21-hour work week and a maximum 35-hour work week (35 hours required for the summer semester)
What will you do?
• Responsible for learning team best practices and standards
• Work on implementing small, focused tasks and fixing bugs in the backlog
• Write a technical specification document for a targeted personal project relevant to a team product
What do you need to succeed?
Required:
• Experience with Unity or a similar game engine
• Experience with a C-like coding language
• Working knowledge of git & source control workflows
Preferred:
• Interest or experience with Virtual Reality
• Interest or experience in visual art
Hourly Pay Range
$22.50 - $28.50 USD
