Job Role:
As a Social Media Assistant for State Farm Arena, you will play an essential role in capturing, editing and scheduling dynamic content for social media platforms. Working closely with the arena marketing team, your primary responsibility will be to capture real-time content through vertical video on iPhone during the concerts and shows that come to the venue. You will help bring the State Farm Arena brand to life through creative storytelling and on-the-spot content creation.
Responsibilities:
• Capture real-time content, primarily using vertical video on iPhone, for State Farm Arena social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, X and TikTok.
• Create visual assets for social media posts using Slate, CapCut, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other software.
• Write engaging copy for social media posts
• Provide social media coverage for concerts and shows that come to State Farm Arena
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for content ideation
• Stay updated on social media trends to keep content fresh and relevant
• Assist with post-event marketing recaps for each show.
• Assist with artist gifting and back of house activations for concerts and shows.
• Assist with event days including assisting with VIP events and media as needed, managing radio remotes, facilitating activation requests from GP and be on call for promoter requests on day of show.
• Assist with managing internal promotional calendars and trafficking of marketing assets for each non-Hawks event. This includes channels such as in-arena/external LEDs, email, website, and brand communications.
• Remain flexible and nimble to assist with additional projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
• Academic or work experience in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
• Knowledge of music and pop culture
• Strong interest in social media trends and platforms
• Familiarity with social media post metrics
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently
• Strong team collaboration skills
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Education & Experience:
• Academic and/or work experiences related to one or more of the following in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field
• Experience working in social media for a brand is a plus, but not required
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, etc.)
• Experience with social media reporting and analytics is preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
