What You Will Work On
- Full-stack engineering with an emphasis on backend infrastructure, automated testing, and data-focused solutions.
- Implementing modern software design principles with Node.js and React, maintaining clean, efficient code.
- Leveraging tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, and AWS to deploy and manage services in the cloud.
- Addressing complex technical challenges by recommending improvements and anticipating potential risks.
- Supporting infrastructure and development needs for sustainable initiatives, working with a team that values courage, trust, teamwork, and self-awareness.
What You Will Do
- Partner closely with the team lead to manage and enhance backend systems, focusing on robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.
- Build and maintain microservices, Lambdas, and containerized applications using Docker and AWS tools like ECS.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of sustainable technology solutions that align with our mission to reduce plastic and waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into clear technical designs and deliverables.
- Continuously improve development and build strategies, ensuring quality and efficiency through automated testing, continuous integration, and delivery.
What You Bring
- Proficiency in Node.js, React, and a strong understanding of modern backend systems and cloud environments.
- Experience in microservices architecture, Docker, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- A passion for sustainability and reducing waste, with enthusiasm for making a meaningful environmental impact.
- Prior experience working with Nike is a plus.
