Description
We're seeking a Technical Artist Team Lead to join our game development team, focusing on creating new and innovative game experiences.
This role is perfect for a highly experienced, versatile, and passionate Technical Artist Team Lead. You will collaborate with Unity developers and the Art team to integrate creative assets into the game and develop various game content with diverse mechanics and designs.
As a Technical Artist Team Lead, you'll work closely with the art department, product, and development teams to elevate our game to market-leading standards while ensuring optimal performance and high quality.
At our company, a Technical Artist serves as a vital link between the Art and Development departments. You will be responsible for the final visual quality of the game, working with multiple departments. Your team tasks will include integrating all graphic assets into Unity, creating animations and visual effects, and developing tools to enhance our pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Hire, mentor and challenge a team of Technical Artists.
- Be a part of product development in each phase.
- Integrate creative assets (art and visual effects) into the game.
- Implement design and animations in Unity according to mock-ups.
- Analyze and optimize the design to meet performance optimization.
- Work Closely with Tech Art Tech Lead, art, Unity Development, Product, and delivery manager.
Requirements
- Leadership experience (1+ year).
- Production experience in Unity.
- Good understanding of rendering pipeline (materials, draw-calls, batching, texture atlas).
- Experience working with both artists and engineers and understanding the gap between both disciplines.
- Understanding of content creation/management pipelines for game production.
- Experience with performance improvements.
- Ability to analyze and improve workflows to enhance group productivity.
- Flexibility, excellent collaboration skills, ability to plan the workload.
- Experience working with agile teams.
- Good spoken and written English is a MUST.
