We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Game Development Intern to join our dynamic team and help us share our passion for gaming with the world.

Position: Game Developer Intern

Location: In-Person (Los Angeles) & Remote

Duration: 3 (Potential for Extension)

Compensation: Unpaid trial period (1 month) and stipend thereafter

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the development team to create and implement gameplay mechanics, systems, and features for our game 100 Day Siege.
Assist in optimizing performance for VR platforms, ensuring smooth and immersive player experiences.
Work on bug fixes, testing, and iteration cycles to refine gameplay.
Participate in team brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance the game.
Develop and test user interactions, AI behavior, and environmental physics using tools like Unity.
Integrate and test assets such as models, animations, and sound effects into the game environment.

Requirements

Educational Background: Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Computer Science, Game Development, or related program.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Unity.
Familiarity with C#, C++, or other relevant programming languages.
Understanding of VR development principles, including interaction design and performance optimization.
Passion for VR Gaming: Strong interest in virtual reality and immersive gaming experiences.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively in a remote environment.**

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with multiplayer networking for VR.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Knowledge of shader programming and VR UI/UX design principles.
Prior experience developing or contributing to a VR project.
