As we expand our creative output, we’re looking for a Technical Artist to help design and implement pipelines for short-form video production—leveraging the latest AI-driven tools and techniques.
This role combines hands-on video creation with technical problem-solving, ensuring our teams can rapidly produce high-quality video content for our mobile games.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain pipelines for short-form video generation—from concept through final production—using AI-driven tools (e.g., ComfyUI) and more traditional video editing/compositing workflows.
- Collaborate with game designers, artists, and engineers to ensure video content is seamlessly integrated into mobile game experiences.
- Collaborate with central Core Tech to balance immediate needs of the game with the broader Series platform vision, integrating real-world insights for near-term deliverables and long-term success.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in AI-based video generation, compositing tools, and real-time rendering approaches to maintain a cutting-edge pipeline.
- Document and refine production pipelines, share best practices, and champion continuous improvement in short-form video workflows—while training and mentoring cross-functional teams on emerging AI techniques and best-in-class processes.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of professional experience as a Technical Artist (gaming or related entertainment fields preferred).
- Understanding of the end-to-end video production process—from storyboarding and asset creation to editing and final render.
- Proficiency with compositing, editing, or motion graphics software (e.g., After Effects, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve) and familiarity with real-time engines (Unity) is a plus.
- Comfortable experimenting with AI and generative tools (e.g., ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, or similar) to automate or accelerate parts of the production workflow.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot bottlenecks or technical issues related to video formats or rendering performance.
- Excellent communication skills—capable of translating complex technical concepts to artists, producers, and engineers.
- Eagerness to stay current on the latest industry trends, particularly around AI-driven content creation, and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
Pluses:
- Scripting/programming experience (Python, C#, or similar) to automate repetitive tasks or extend video workflows.
- Experience producing content for mobile-first or fast-iteration game projects.
- Knowledge of 3D art pipelines, including character animation or VFX.
- Previous hands-on experience deploying generative AI for 2D or 3D art, video, or live content creation.
- Familiarity with interactive storytelling techniques and how short-form videos can enhance narrative experiences in games.
