Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Level Designer who can bring fresh ideas and innovative mechanics to our games. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their level design work, worldbuilding, and gameplay implementations. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and refining virtual mini-golf courses, ensuring our players are challenged and entertained.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging worlds, gameplay mechanics and hole designs for Walkabout Mini Golf.
- Block out and build 3D levels through various phases of development using Blender and Gravity Sketch.
- Develop prototypes to test and refine gameplay concepts in Unity 3D.
- Drive development of levels from concept through block-out to final gameplay.
- Use tester and player feedback to guide gameplay balance and tuning to ensure high levels of player engagement, while meeting our high standards of quality.
- Take ownership of your work, advocate for it, and ensure timely delivery and quality.
- Contribute creatively to brainstorming sessions and design discussions.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of game design development experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your level design experience.
- Proficiency in Blender and Unity 3D.
- Comfortable using Perforce or other source control software.
- Proactive, highly motivated, and capable of taking full ownership of your work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Creative thinker with a passion for designing immersive gameplay experiences that challenge and entertain players.
- Bonus: VR development experience and a love for mini-golf!
