Job Description
Your role at Tumi:
The Junior Graphic Designer is a key contributor on the Global Creative Services team, supporting the creative execution and output of all digital deliverables briefed into the global creative department, based in New York City. The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for assisting with production on revolving projects such as eCommerce site updates, social asset creation, email development and print collateral, as needed. This role will be responsible for managing their production workflow, while maintaining file organization and implementing process and best-practices. We are looking for a team player that will collaborate with other fellow designers on the team, as well as other departmental partners such as eCommerce and CRM, to execute consumer facing creative initiatives and bring new, fresh ideas to the table. You will work onsite 4 days and 1 day remote weekly.
Responsibilities
- Provide design production support on site content, email, social, digital media banners and printed media
- Work closely with digital designer to own email creation process from brief to completion
- Work closely with social team to retouch and edit social content for all social channels
- Work closely with print designer to assist on printed materials such as pamphlets, packaging, in-store graphics etc.
- Add creative content to campaign toolkits
- Manage projects in Project Management System, Workfront
- Provide graphics support for marketing, customer experience, and product teams
- Develop creative design concepts and expand & execute on concepts of others - internal & agency
- Assist on several jobs simultaneously in an organized manner, and work quickly and efficiently to deliver established deadlines
- Internal photo studio support
- Maintain style guide for consistency in branding across all marketing channels (online and offline)
- Keep current with emerging digital trends and share innovations with team
We're Excited If You Have
- 2-5 years of work experience in graphic design required
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint
- Understanding of typography and knowledge of layout design and print formatting required
- Experience in photography, After Effects & video editing, and knowledge of US/product design are a plus
- Exhibits positive attitude, willingness to learn and takes direction well are critical requirements
- This position is based out of our New York City office. Tumi employees work on-site four days and remotely one day weekly, as business allows.
