Job Description
As a Technical Animation Director you will identify, develop, and adapt the animation tools for production. You will collaborate with the other technical directors, defining technical constraints within animation to optimize memory, performance and more importantly – the quality of the project. You'll also lead a diverse team of complementary skills who define and deliver effective tools and pipeline workflows
What you'll do
- Define the technical animation needs and vision, and determine technical feasibility, in collaboration with other core team members
- Establish a vision for best practices, tools needed, methods used together with Technical Art and Animation teams
- Direct and manage the areas of: rigging, skinning and various DCC tools
- Anticipate technological advancements and stay up to date on market trends to define our best practices
We're offering a permanent position in Malmö or Stockholm, Sweden, with the flexibility to work partially from home (up to two days a week) under our Flexible Workplace Policy. Please apply using English, our company's primary language.

As a Director in the Technical Animation field, you’re enthusiastic about quality and innovation. You excel at communicating your vision to various stakeholders and leading strategic efforts with your team. Your team leadership experience equips you to navigate through challenges, provide constructive feedback, and streamline workflows.
Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
- Experience in at least one full AAA videogame production, in a supervising role (Director, Lead)
- Professional experience in supervising/directing a team
- Capacity to clearly articulate and communicate a vision and strategy
- Good understanding of animation principles, rigging, skinning and motion-capturing
- Significant knowledge of real-time animation systems and pipeline development
- Significant knowledge of Motionbuilder, Maya, 3D's Max, Blender
