**Clearance Coordinator**
**Location:** Burbank, CA
**Description:**
The Studio Clearances team at Disney Studios is responsible for managing legal clearances for production and marketing of films across theatrical, home entertainment, and streaming platforms. The team advises production staff and reviews materials such as scripts, artwork, trailers, and marketing assets to identify and address clearance issues.
The Clearance Coordinator will manage workflows, track processes, and coordinate across departments to support clearance needs for live-action and animated motion pictures.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Maintain and manage clearance status reports, department contacts, databases, production release forms, and digital document filing
- Coordinate with production offices for meetings, script distribution, clearance requests, payments, and department protocols
- Communicate with internal studio departments (legal, production, post-production, marketing) regarding meetings, screenings, and document exchange
- Assist in viewing dailies and archival information retrieval
- Facilitate and track payments for research services, licensing, and other fees
- Manage font seat licensing assignments for productions
- Transmit, follow-up, and track standard clearance requests under supervision
- Conduct internet and phone research to obtain rights information for fictional/non-fictional elements in films
- Develop expertise in computer applications used by the department
**Required Qualifications & Skills:**
- 2 years of entertainment experience, preferably in television/motion picture production or production legal
- Proficiency in advanced technology for problem-solving
- Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability
- Proven capability to take initiative and seek increased responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
