We’re seeking a
Creative Arts Facilitator (virtual programs) to lead creative arts programs designed to support connection and engagement among older adults. The Facilitator will lead existing programs as well as develop stimulating and innovative programs with a primary focus on creative arts. This may include programs such as art journaling, creative mindfulness, drawing, visual art making, discussion, and more.
This position is part-time, occasional opportunities to teach in-person programs, and participate in larger team meetings at our headquarters office located in Evanston.
Essential Functions
- Conducts approximately 8 hour/week creative arts programming for older adults online. Programs may include small and large groups of participants. This includes existing Mather programs and programs to be developed. Remaining time will be spent on the following:
- Develops innovative virtual creative arts programs for older adults.
- Acts in a support role for online programs by monitoring the chat function in online programs, helping to assemble supplies for programs, and monitoring and responding to Facebook posts by Community Initiatives participants.
Required
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years work experience related to presentation/facilitation of creative arts programs
- 3+ years work experience related to program/content development
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
