EA Data & Analytics group is seeking a Data Analyst to support our development and business teams. Reporting to an Analytics Manager, you'll dive into large datasets to explore how players interact with our games and features, uncovering insights that help grow the product. As a data explorer, investigator, and storyteller, you'll identify major trends in our data and diagnose their causes. You'll be part of the Sport Analytics team, enhancing our analytics capabilities for the NHL and UFC Studios.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Sharing insights that can improve the player experience, grow player engagement.
• Build partnerships with stakeholders to understand their questions, problems, and insight needs.
• Investigate how live content and campaigns impact our in-game player economy.
• Translate qualitative/quantitative data into applicable insights and recommendations.
• Connect data to the business by creating dashboards and analyses that tell its story.
• Present analysis conclusions to partners in a coherent and practical way.
Requirements
• A bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of work experience in a prior analytical role.
• Excellent SQL skills querying complex data sets.
• Familiarity with at least one scripting language like Python or R.
• Experience with data visualisation tools, e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau.
• Experience with game economy and in-game monetization
• Familiarity with NHL and interest in the video gaming industry.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
• $73,200 - $101,700 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
