Position Summary:
The Game Creation Operations Engineer (Perforce) is a technical professional on our specialist operations team that supports EA's large and complex source code and asset repositories across the globe. They use their Helix Core and Linux knowledge to provide application and system support to maintain operations, availability and high performance across many Perforce environments around the world.
The team is responsible for system engineering, application troubleshooting, implementing technical fixes and workarounds, keeping operating systems and application software up-to-date, working with report data to maintain capacity and performance of the environment, and contributing to the Perforce product roadmap.
The job can be fully remote for individuals located in North or South America and you will report to the Senior Manager Game Creation Operations based in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities
• Provide user community support through our help channels on common Helix Core and Swarm issues
• Monitor Perforce environments for application and system health and performance
• Create and maintain Perforce multi-server environments
• Identify repetitive operational tasks for process improvement and automation
• Actively participate and contribute within a scrum or kanban agile team
• Collaboratively work with the wider product team to deliver our IT strategy shared goals
• Understand studio and game creation needs evolve and shift focus as needed
Qualifications
• 1+ year experience of providing application support with Helix Core applications (p4d, p4v, p4p)
• 1+ year experience of providing system support for Linux operating systems
• Experience of troubleshooting and providing resolution to difficult, unfamiliar issues
• Experience of participating in Scrum and/or Kanban Agile ceremonies
Preferred Skills
• Experience with creating and/or supporting in-house tools with languages such as PowerShell, Python, .Net Core (C#), BASH, Perl
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and analysis, such as datadog, grafana, prometheus, splunk, or similar
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
• Professional certifications, such as Azure, AWS, GCP, VMWare, Linux, CompTIA, Agile Scrum
• Familiar with product/service delivery methodologies
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
• $73,200 - $101,700 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
