Position Summary
This position will support the day-to-day video game business at the NBA, with an increased focus on owning the development process for key video game products. Job responsibilities include supporting the day-to-day management of video game and mobile gaming partners, managing the development process for key titles, building process to drive development efficiencies, and managing and track approvals across marketing and development. The role requires a focus on efficient processes and excellent project management skills with a strong attention to detail.
Major Responsibilities
Provide overall partner management support across the NBA's video game partnerships, including:
- Own year-round video game development process including, but not limited to:
- Serve as the internal expert on all elements of the NBA’s video games including knowledge of modes, gameplay, and forward-looking development plans
- Build and oversee year-round calendar of all development milestones
- Track and deliver all on-court assets for all leagues to video game partners to enable game builds (e.g., courts, uniforms, accessories, logos, style guides, mascot art, etc.)
- Review all in-game assets and modes to ensure accuracy and brand safety
- Maintain and communicate embargoes and deadline for confidential assets going live in-game
- Lead various review workstreams including lyric and soundtrack review, script reviews, packaging, etc.
- Handle head scanning process to ensure players from all leagues are scanned in-game which includes coordination with teams, other departments at the league, video game scanning crews and players associations
- Oversight of in-game rosters; responsible for ensuring accuracy in reporting and management of several departments including development teams, licensing org, finance leads, player marketing, etc.
- Management of marketing calendar including daily approvals and tracking of all assets
- Support gaming partner initiatives and programs that span product development, marketing, media, retail and event activations
- Track all internal support and incremental value for video game business and initiatives
- Support team and work with internal departments to achieve gaming partner objectives (e.g., events, marketing, media, global retail development, social responsibility, etc.)
- Contribute to the commercialization of our video game ecosystem by:
- Tracking all video-game related proposals and financials
- Creation of meeting materials, presentations, recap materials and key client communications
- Tracking of in-game data tied to recurrent consumer spending, engagement, etc.
- Manage and support various team processes including:
- Coordinate and own regular meeting invites including weekly status calls across multiple partners and fields, monthly recurring meetings and other ad-hoc meetings. Responsible for note taking and post-meeting recaps and follow up.
- Distribution of key products to internal stakeholders
- Submit and track partner ticket requests
- Misc. hospitality or operational support
Required Experience & Knowledge
- High proficiency level with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and high level of organization

Educational Background Required
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
Salary Range: $70,000 - $84,000
