**Deputy Photo Editor**
**Location:** New York or Los Angeles
Variety is seeking a Deputy Photo Editor to contribute to their print products, including the weekly magazine, special print supplements, and more. This senior role involves being a proven visual storyteller through the medium of photography, focusing primarily on photo research. The candidate must work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple issues and sections simultaneously. They will need to source imagery from studios, image libraries, publicity agents, and other resources to creatively illustrate stories across all areas of entertainment that Variety covers.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage 85-90% of photo research for Variety's print products.
- Source imagery from various resources, including studios, libraries, and personal publicity agents.
- Lead a team in producing and directing celebrity photoshoots, working with talent, publicists, and style teams.
- Collaborate closely with the photo editor, design team, and section editors in Los Angeles and New York.
- Develop relationships with new talent and manage existing industry connections, including studios, networks, and publicity firms.
- Work with K4 systems and DAM photo organization tools, and proficiently use Photoshop.
**Qualifications:**
