Level99 is a first-of-its-kind entertainment experience, which opened its proof-of-concept venue in Natick MA in June 2021. A massive World of Challenges, over 48,000 square feet in size, Level99 offers a physical open-world game environment where groups of 2-6 guests choose from over 40 rooms, each containing a unique physical or mental team challenge. Job Description
The multi-functional Art Producer role involves the management, logistics, and leadership of Level99’s art commissioning, purchasing, fabrication, and installation efforts. The Art Producer works closely with the Creative Director, Creative Designers, Project Management, Construction Team, and the rest of the Creative Team to design, purchase, ship, install, and maintain all in-venue art at Level99. This is a collaborative design leadership role responsible for the development of entertainment and gameplay-adjacent art installations that are large-scale, wacky, touchable, and non-traditional. Responsibilities
- Manages art production & procurement, including creative scope, schedule, and budget for art installations in Level99 locations
- Builds and maintains an ever-growing network of external artists and designers to execute on art
- Manages internal designers to create original concepts for art installations
- Manages contracts for commissioned/purchased art
- Manages the logistics of shipping, crating, storing, installing etc of commissioned art
- Directs creative criteria and goal setting for unique art installations
- Owns the art proposal review process in coordination with Creative Director and Creative Designers
- Coordinates with Construction, Install, and Engineering teams regarding safety, durability, rigging, etc of immersive art installations
- Builds and Maintains art coordination and project tracking documentation across multiple venues over multiple phases of project lifecycles (conceptual, design, install, etc)
- Creates presentation documents for creative and technical scopes. Designs and documentation may be required to be executed in 2D or 3D digital environments and design/CAD software (Adobe Creative Cloud, Blender, etc.)
- Sources purchased parts to be used in art installations
- Maintains schedules, estimates time hours required to complete assignments, and provide regular check-ins to review the status of projects and deliverables
- Completes administrative tasks associated with a successful professional role including: hours/timesheet/cost reporting, documenting costs, and maintaining a prioritized list of tasks
- Keeps individual workspaces, and the building as a whole, clean, organized, and efficient
- Prioritizes personal safety and the safety of coworkers and guests in the day-to-day execution of duties
- Displays skill in leading and navigating hard conversations and shows skill, grace, maturity, and decisiveness in relationships with subordinates and co-workers
- Takes initiative, seeing what needs to be done and assembling the resources to accomplish self-determined goals, in continual pursuit of improvement of our guest experience and development process
- Continuously upholds Level99 brand and visual standards across all parts of the business, including product, experience, graphic design, and display standards, as well as environmental cleanliness and organization
- Follows the direction of supervisors and manage time effectively
- Maintains a positive, upbeat, pro-active attitude and inspires the same in co-workers

Must-have Skills
- 5+ years relevant experience leading designers (museum exhibits, theatrical sets, art commissioning, immersive art design, artist relations, etc)
- Strong design/art portfolio or network
- Has a passion for art and working with artists
- Internalizes and furthers the Level99 artistic voice
- Has experience with various physical materials and install methods
- Ability to self-manage time and resources in a low-oversight environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- High integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing work environment
- Understands, utilizes and embraces new technology and its implementation into our operation, with specific knowledge in, but not limited to, Microsoft Office
- A positive, joyful, upbeat and energetic attitude – leading by example
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which may include days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to travel regularly as required to review art in-venues across the country
- Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, sit, squat or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs/ladders
- Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, manuals, and instructions
- Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Other Desirable (but Not Necessary) Skills & Experience Include
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Familiarity with mechanical and architectural drawings
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc)
- Experience in previsualization using Blender or other 3D solutions
While we don’t expect a candidate to have deep experience in all of the above, we’re looking for someone with the passion and capability to learn quickly in the areas that are new!
