Position Overview
The Visual Merchandising Designer will work on the design conceptualization, coordination, and successful execution of in-store Visual Merchandising regarding 360 global launches (including events) and permanent units in all types of retail environments. The overall goal is to ensure an elevated and consistent VM look and feel. To continually evolve innovation, ensuring a strong brand presence in a highly competitive marketplace. The role must maintain a positive collaborative relationship with all cross-functional depts.
Position Responsibilities
- Full design execution of all visual merchandising requests managing phases of projects.
- Attend meetings, present concepts, and report on status of current projects.
- Execute and oversee development of merchandising and event guidelines.
- Participate in briefing, concept kickoff and all development session to discuss objectives and push innovation in program launches.
- Demonstrate an understanding of materials, cost and time requirements on projects.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in visual arts and merchandising.
- Source materials and props as needed and manage the development/production of installation.
- Create 3D renders and DTOs for design approval and production
Position Qualifications
- Position requires 1-2 years preferably in beauty or fashion arena; in visual merchandising, industrial design or related experience.
- Demonstrate hands-on skills in 2D and 3D
- Ability to render and communicate ideas, responsiveness to creative input and great visual sensibilities.
- Demonstrate an understanding of materials, cost and time requirements on projects.
- Self-starter who is agile, resourceful and detail-oriented
- Strong design sense and ability with color, typography, composition, and image manipulation. Understanding of beauty and luxury brand code/color/materials and how they come to life in a retail environment.
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, 3D CAD/ Modelling and rendering experience in MAC/PC environment.
