The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of five years of experience at the Designer level
- An ability to create placement, print, and pattern artwork as well as ability to size artwork accordingly based on garment size and silhouette
- A high taste level and a keen eye for color and detail
- Experience with online as well as in-store trend research and ability to put together trend/mood boards for buyer presentations
- Knowledge and understanding of techniques and execution as well as how each relates to costing
- Ability to transform CAD artwork into production-ready packages for suppliers
- A comfort level working in a high volume, fast paced environment with internal as well as external (corporate licensor) artwork reviews
- Ability to balance creativity, accuracy, and efficiency effectively
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
- Understanding of commercial viability but knows how to gain inspiration from aspirational brands and bring fresh and trend-forward ideas to projects
- Will have worked on brands sold to retailers such as Ross, Burlington, TJ Maxx, Costco, Dillard’s and Nordstrom
